Money Laundering id checks

Hi Everyone

Can someone clarify for me please the info I need when doing my MLR checks with a new client.  I know I need to get the id, proof of address etc but lots of the sample forms mentions partners, spouse and kids.  If they have nothing to do with the business do I need to get all their info as well or do I just need to get the info from my client, the business owner?  Reading HMRc there is nothing mentioned about spouses etc (obviously if they are Directors etc I would need to check them)

Thanks

Alison

ICB request proof of address and photographic ID from all sole traders, all directors and all partners. If the business address is different then proof of business address is needed too.
Acceptable forms of ID are passports, driving licence, ID cards
Proof of address -bank statements, utility bills, HMRC letters
