I was wondering how one would enter a current asset (other than, say, cash in the bank) in VT Transaction +. In particular, say my business bought some shares as an investment, how can I record this in VT?
Cr Bank
Dr Investments - fixed : Listed - Additions
or, if short term investments
Cr Bank
Dr Investments - Current : Listed
per all assets they are purely balance sheet items.
The above is only applicable for companies, for self employed there is no seperation between the owner and the business so it would be the owner investing, not the business.
