I have a case where a company employs a part-time staff who works 4 hours per day five days a week.
Having read some information on Government website, I came to a conclussion that this employee is entitled to the same number of days for paid holidays as a full-time staff, e.g. 28 days, as they work five days a week. Is that correct? Or are they entitled to only 14 days of holidays as they work half day each day?
I have problems with their holiday pay, as well, as I am confussed about its calculation
Since they work equal hours each week (20 hours), is their annual pay then divided by 52 weeks to find out what is their holiday entitlement per week? (e.g. £6540 / 52 = £125.77 per week)
I would say 28 days is correct which includes bank holidays and paid at the 4hrs or if irregular hours worked each day the average over the past 12 weeks.
