IFA practice certificate requirements
Permalink Closed

Hi all,

Does anyone know what the specific requirements of the Institute of Financial Accountants are for granting a practicing certificate?

I have tried looking on their website and can't find anything.  I tried emailing them and did not get a clear response back.

Are there any IFA members who can help?

Thanks,

David.

Hi David,

DipFA level and above can get a practice certificate.

can't remember the specifics of getting the certificate now. Pretty sure that the accountant references were for membership rather than the certificate.

Its the usual rules of not doing anything that you are not qualified and / or experienced to do. Also you must have adequate PII in place and they expect a copy of your policy as evidence.

The practice certificate and MLR are priced up seperately in the application as there are two seperate levels of practice certificate (part time (under £20k turnover) and full time).

Hope that's what you were looking for,

kind regards,

Shaun.
