Still got a few bits and pieces to be done on SEO and area specific landing pages but the main site is done.

Very impressive. Did you create it yourself? It's exactly the kind of site I'm looking to create for my new venture. smile

Hi Mark,

Can I make a few points. I'm viewing it on an iPad (bearing in mind current stats suggest that around 40% of website visitors are now using a mobile device) and the site doesn't seem to be responsively designed. This means that the menu is moving onto two lines and the last items, other resources and contact is hiding behind the welcome message. Similar is happening to the video behind the right bar. Without looking at the code I'm not sure why, but I'd hazard a guess that absolute widths have been used.

In reading the text it seems to be all about you and no the customer. There are loads of 'we' and 'our's. In fact there's not a single 'you' in the first two paragraphs. Most customers care about (WIIFM) what's in it for me, and nothing really attemps to answer that.

In the twitter feed your logo appears in a white box against the grey background. If you made your logo on twitter a transparent PNG it may look better here. Also consider if it's worth having a twitter feed when the last teeet is the first in 4 months. Unless you are going to update regularly there's no point having it.

You have a subscribe to our mailing list hidden at the bottom of the page, but with no great incentive to sign up. You'll find if you offer a freebie like a guide to saving tax or something your signups will vastly increase.

The video is good, and a good idea now. Not sure if I hear the world 'automobile' in Scotland much though?

The look and feel of the site is nice.

I hope you find this constructive and useful.

Kris

Hi Mark

Wow, this site is very creative, you must be really pleased? The video is a great idea, the cartoon fits very well. Kris makes some really good points, above - which I'd expect from Kris, he is so switched on with stuff like that! I haven't had time to look at it fully yet, but my initial thought when I opened the site, was the font. It's not very smooth on the page, and it cheapens the feel, for me a little. I will go back and have another look at more menus etc over the weekend. Hope that helps some :)

I like the site, the structure and fees are very clear.
