Point of Sale services charges

Hi, I am doing the books for a client and on his bank statement and on it are some transactions that the client says are Point of sale service charges. What should i code these to? Elaine

Hi Elaine,

I put them to bank charges.

Whether you create an additional bank for the point of sale device is down to you (and to a certain extent materialarity of the transactions) but on the financial statements they will end up bundled with the rest of the bank charges.
