12pay and blank EPS
Permalink Closed

I use 12pay to file the payroll for one director set to NIL. Last months went fine with no hitches, this month I submitted the FPS fine and now it's come to submit the EPS, it's telling me a blank EPS cannot be submitted. Just getting use to this software and have no idea why it has come up as blank this month and last months went fine!!

Anyone else familiar with this software that can point me in the right direction?!!

Hi Katie,

Are you actually trying to submit an FPS or an EPS. The EPS on 12pay usually pops up first before you file your FPS and you have to cancel it. The EPS is only completed if you are dealing with CIS or Statutory pay reclaimed. The FPS is what you should be filing.

Is the director normally not paid anything? If so, and he is the only employee I don't think you need to run a PAYE scheme at all do you? Even if he is sometimes paid through payroll, if he is paid below the threshold you still don't need to run a PAYE scheme.
