I would like to ask you a question. There is a person who passed all exams for papers let's say F1-F7 but for some reasons couldn't continue further with ACCA studies. Can this person find employment in accounting field and do simpler stuff the difficulty of which is covered in papers F1-F7?
I already answered this for you off line ((15:36 yesterday) but you have not even bothered to reply to say thanks.
this is just a very slightly adjusted cut and paste of the email that I sent you.
Hi,
One can refer to oneself as PQ and will find that many employers look for that as much, if not in some cases more than fully qualified.
The downside is that F8 and F9 are quite important ones and to have passed at least the entirety of the knowledge and skills levels will put one in a better position.
Downside is that F8 is a real swine of a paper to pass expecting you to go into the hall with the same level of knowledge as F7 plus the additional audit skills.
To say its an audit paper is a bit of a misnomer as really its testing your level of accounts knowledge by spotting what's written between the lines of the question. (i.e. one is looking for what the client is not telling you which is much closer to real life accountancy).
Giving up at F7 the student won't get the bit of paper that they get after F9 to confirm their achievement.
Is there no way that this person could do those last two before closing off your studies?
Just getting to F7 the person is already well in advance of those with AAT but no experience.
The student can apply for jobs stating PQ and saying that you are working towards qualification and have reached F7.
If the student gives up on ACCA before passing F9 (i.e. stop paying subscriptions) they can no longer sell themselves as a current PQ and you won't even have the skills level bit of paper to show your achievement.
Better, I believe, that the person keeps their subscriptions going and sell oneself as detailed above.
That said, its a difficult job market out there and you will be competing for every role.
I wish your associate the very best of luck with finding a suitable position and still hope to see them completing the ACCA qualification or if not, at least the skills level part of it.
Please do not make requests off line for messages that you are going to post on the site anyway as you are just wasting my time trying to help you.
