Recording Calls on Skype
Permalink Closed

Hi all,

I have a lot of conversations with clients on Skype. Recently, a client told me to process something that I was a bit dubious about but is now denying that this is the case (his accountant isn't very happy about it).

I know how to record Skype calls but I was wondering whether you need to inform someone that their call is being recorded. There's conflicting information about this on the web so does anyone know a definitve answer to this question?

Thanks :)

As far as I know, as long as you inform them that it's being recorded, it's fine.

In fact turn this into a 'wow' moment by saying 'I'm going to record this call and send you a copy of it so you know exactly what we are doing' I think most clients would think this was a great bit of value you are adding and anyone who says they would prefer you didn't would perhaps have something to hide!
