Can anyone confirm for me - guys that install insulation (not supply and fit, just fit) - come under CIS or not?
My thinking is that they do, but I am being disagreed with. Have tried to call the CIS helpline but they are apparently too busy to take calls and hang up on you after playing their little (long) recorded message!
Thanks

people will probably need more detail such as what sort and value of insulation?
Are we talking newbuilds or modifications?
loft insulation (carpeting) or wall insulation?
Is the value of each instalation under or over £1000?
kind regards,
Shaun.

Are the customers another contractor or the general public. If the latter then no need to be CIS registered, if the former then it is up to them to insist on CIS and they will take responsibility. Either way it doesn't appear to be a problem for your client.
