Please could someone help me understanding maternity leave for sole traders?

Hi Stuart,

it's a bit different because a self employed person is not eligible statutory maternity pay, however they could qualify for maternity allowance. Do a quick google of maternity allowance and you should find all the details.

Can you clarify .. you are a sole trader and the maternity leave is for an employee?
