Payroll Help-P32
Permalink Closed

Ok,

So I ran my first payroll last night..

But I am a little confused by the P32 it has given me :(

I thought the P32 shows what is due for payment to HMRC for this payroll period.

But the figure I am getting is more than the whole actual gross payroll £7,287.14 (Income tax 2892.60, Gross NI 4394.54)..

I have entered all the YTD figures for each individual employee, am I missing something else? Please help? Im using Quick Books online by the way.

Thanks

Stuart

Am I right in thinking I need to ask the previous bookkeeper for the month by month P32 figures and add these to my software?

Once I have updated these figures, would I then have to do another RTI submission? for the same period?

Hi Stuart

I dont use Quick books for payroll but in my software when you run the P32 you select which month you are wanting to run it for- you should be able to select monthly- again my software runs it and asks if you want to record the details so that at year end it knows how much has been paid (or suppose to have been !)

You shouldnt need to run another RTI as this should only be per period also

hope this helps

Thanks Sharon. Im not sure whats happening. I have QuickBooks payroll support looking into it. Everything has been entered for YTD so I don't seem that the issue is, hopefully they can :(

What software you use?

All sorted :) was to do with the YTD figures showing as not paid so was simple when you know how their system works. . Although I did have to figure it out for my self as the support team didn't know :(
