I am not enrolled on any BPP course but I have bought their books from Amazon. A book is a book.. same wherever you buy it from, price perhaps being the only difference.
You are asking whether you will have access to training materials on the website, if you buy the book from Amazon... I don't think (but I am not certain) that buying the book from either website would give you access to anything you haven't paid for. Presumably, you would have to be a registered student or have bought some all inclusive package from BPP, in order to use the web based materials.. and I would have thought the books would be part of that package, and you wouldn't be trying to buy them ??
Happy to be wrong on that, cos I wouldn't mid access to web based materials without buying an all inclusive package!!
Not sure about the BPP books but with the Kaplan ones you get a code on the inside front cover (under some silver stuff that you have to rub off). You enter that on the Kaplan site and then have access to tests, corrections and an electronic copy of the book.
Worth noting that the access is only valid during the year that the book is valid for so if you buy an old book even if the code hasn't been used it still wont work.
I assume that BPP and Kaplan have similar settups but might be better if someone who uses their materials confirms that.
Makes no difference whether you buy the book from Amazon or the publisher directly... Except that I've found in the past that Amazon have had stock of books before the publisher (how the heck does that work then!!!) and also Amazonis generally between 10-20% cheaper than the publishers prices.
Michelle... try Kaplan...
Also, there are plenty of free ACCA training materials available (and if you want to do AAT the ACCA materials cover all of the same stuff). For starters, there's the Opentuition lectures and old exam papers on the ACCA site etc. All without even spending he money on a book. (although its better if you have one).
I started out with BPP books but over time moved to Kaplan as I like the describe, try, repeat with more complexity approach.
Also, nowt wrong with Osborn books as well.

I contacted bpp yesterday and they say that if you buy their new text you have a code inside a book that makes it possible for you to access their online resources. Probably it works in similiar way when compared to Kaplan
I've just checked inside cover of my BPP ATT books, which are FA2013 and they don't have any numbers, so it must be the very new books that offer this.
Shaunybaby, thanks for the info, I will look into those suggestions :)
yes, bpp people said this applies only to the new books

as far as I remember they said where you buy books from doesn't matter but it is worth asking them again if you plan to buy their books so that you are hundred percent sure
I take it you are completing a home study rather than via a training centre. If home study, please check the year of the books you are purchasing as syllabus may have slightly changed, if the books are unused you would be able to register online with the code. If study is via a training centre you may require checking which books the class are working to as pages may differ when updated. It is also worth purchasing via the training centre as the tutors gain access to additional classroom tutoring material etc., when students use their discount code. Depending on training provider the centre gains around 35 to 40% discount, usually past onto the students.

I bought all my AAT books from Amazon. They were all BPP. I did my exams in 2012 and they all had codes giving me access to online test papers etc. They were a lot cheaper on Amazon than they were if I had bought them from BPP.
