My client has a Mitsubishi DOUBLE CAB truck. Ie his vehicle has front driver and passenger seats, a bench seat (or two seats) behind the drivers seats then an open cab at the rear, although he also has a cover for it.
Is this classed as a car or a van?
(Yes this follows on, in part, from two earlier posts, but I want to clarify to my client by sending him the relevant pages of HMRC's guidance notes and want to make sure my argument is correct)

The payload capability is as much a factor as the double cab.

Hi again
Not from the client but a review site states the payload is 1045. Ive no idea if this is adjusted for unoccupied kerb weight or not. My head is spinning.
