Treasurer for voluntary group

Hi all

I do a bit of voluntary work in my local community and i have been asked to sit on the management committee of a local voluntary group.

They got wind of the fact i work in accounts and they have asked me to act as Treasurer!!

I know some of you on here fulfil this role and i was hoping i could get a bit of advice really on what i have to do, what to look out for, useful resources, sources of help etc....
