Due to business expansion this market leader is now looking to recruite a Financial Controller to develop further the finance function and deliver best practice. Job Description

This Financial Controller position will potentially develop into the Finance Director role once fully established and given objectives have been achieved. For this reason it is important that we recruit the candidate with both the right credentials and the drive and aspiration to be a Finance number one. As part of a hard working and committed team you will demonstrate an excellent "hands on" work ethic to drive the finance function here at ESBS from strength to strength. Key duties which you as the Financial Controller will absorb consist of:
        Management of all finance matters relating to treasury, statutory returns, taxation. management information and regulatory returns
        Play an integral role in risk management of the Building Society to ensure ESBS complies with all regulatory requirements including transition to FRS102
        Prepare accurate and timely budgets & forecasts, P+L, balance sheet and cash flow providing commentary on such
        Financial modelling, business planning and relevant analysis, particularly in respect of capital assessment
        Ensure robust systems and controls are maintained

The Successful Applicant

In order to be successful in your application for this role we are looking for a candidate with the following attributes.
        Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
        Strong experience in the Financial Services sector and understanding given regulatory requirements
        First class balance sheet management experience
        Strong systems skills in particular Microsoft packages
        Ability to produce and develop MI REPORTING
        Excellent organisational and time management skills
        Self driven and highly motivated individual who would thrive in a progressive SME
