Payroll for Charity
Permalink Closed

Hello all!

I have inherit charity payroll duties.

This is small saturday school. Still they need payroll done every month. my question is:

what is simple and cheap recommendation for payroll software.

there are many employees who come and goes all the time, however there is no holiday, sick or maternity pay involve (due to low income).

The person who done it before me used Moneysoft, but any other, cheap recommendations? (around 30 employees)

And one more thing: has anyone come across some system which can do payroll quarterly? that would help a lot!

Thanks!

Alia

You can use BrightPay payroll software that will cost you around £89, for unlimited employees.

BrightPay is actually free for charities. As long as the charity is a registered charity you can avail of this offer. Go to this webpage (https://www.brightpay.co.uk/try/) and then on the standard licence there is a section there about the charity T&C.

Hi Karen
Do you have an additional CIS module and how much does it cost?

Thank you all.
It's true that Bright Pay is free for charities! That was a relief for our funds.

Moneysoft has CIS addition and cost something around 120 o buy, no idea how much updates, but I have not used it. I'm still trying to convince customer to invest in software :(

I found Moneysoft very (will sounds horrible) ugly and unpleasant.Like the programs in early 90s. But maybe I'm spoiled :D

Best

I already use Moneysoft now for payroll and CIS. I was trying to get info from someone who was clearly only on the site a couple of times and hasn't bothered to respond to my query!!! BTW Moneysoft might not look good, but it really is, especially when compared costwise to sage payroll no IRIS and it's highly regarded on here, along with 12 pay. Glad you got a freebie sorted for your charity.
