If anyone has been attempting to contact me via email over the last 24 hours I currently have issues (service provider side, not mine). Its being looked into by the ISP concerned but my appologies if anyone has attempted to contact me offline.

kind regards,

Shaun.

Bloomin ISP. I would certainly love my work email to be down, although they always have ways of finding you! Couldnt do without my personal emails though. Enjoy the peace whilst you can.

Morning Jo,

you know that this message was specifically for you don't you as I don't want there to be any confusion over cup cake deliveries. (Don't want John getting hold of em just because I haven't replied).

you just don't realise how much you depend on email until you don't have it do you.

I've lost internet access quite a few times and thats bad enough (makes you wonder about anyone in this business nieve enough to depend upon cloud based solutions only!) but this is only the second time that I've lost access to email (seperate to the internet outage). The last time being... when was it... I was developing a project for Legal & General at the time... er... 2000... So a good 15 years ago (That time it took eight days to get it back!!!!! (I ended up setting up a temporary hotmail account to get past that one)).

Jeez, 15 years! L&G really doesn't seem that long ago. Doesn't time fly when your having fun.

But I digress.

People can still talk to me on here but if there is anything that anyone needs to take off line just wanted people to know that there are service issues at the moment.

If this goes on more than another 24 more hours I'll set up a temporary Gmail or Hotmail account and post the address on here (it would only be used for the duration of the outage).

Happy Friday.

Shaun.

Oh, you replied Shaun. Once I'd hacked and diverted your email address it was easy convincing Jo that you'd temporarily moved to Ripon and that's where the delivery should go.   Piece of cake really, if you'll forgive that awful pun!

Also you had an email about some rope you've ordered, apparently it's going to be another week before they can deliver.

Oh boys!!!

Ive just been driving all over the place firstly to try to find the original delivery vans - found at the side of the M6, with the driver and guard sitting on the grass surrounded by crumbs and looking decidedly queasy as they had eaten the lot in one go! So then I tried to set off to Shaun's with the replacement freshly baked cakes when my satnav took me north instead of south.....something to do with you John?

Oh and John - are you saying Im easy?!!!! Whoaaaa.

Shaun - I reckon the girlfriend mightve been surprised you said that, although I heard that B&Q had re-stocked after the initial
run..

you just don't realise how much you depend on email until you don't have it do you.

This concept makes no sense to me. I look forward to those occasions when I don't have access to my email - such as most of today, well out of range of any mobile phone signals, so nobody could ring me and I couldn't receive any email or texts. Yay! \o/
