We are currently looking to recruit a Book-keeper, the role is based within our head office in Stretford, Manchester. Previous experience of Bookkeeping is essential for this role.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Sales and Purchase Ledger processing and reconciliation
· Bank reconciliation of multiple accounts
· Production and submission of HMRC VAT returns
· Updating Accounting Schedule
· Payroll Duties using Sage payroll
· General office administrative duties
· Supplier payments
· Debt collection
· Prepare and submit monthly management accounts for all companies to the accountants
· Balancing and generating reports for sales financing to submit to the accountants
Suitable skills set:
· AAT or equivalent
· Previous bookkeeping experience essential including the use of the tax and HMRC online VAT systems
· Previous work experience of Sage accountancy software
· Experience with invoice financing
· Experience in the use of payroll
· Excellent attention to detail
· Team player but also able to work independently to a high standard
· Possession of excellent communication and organisational skills
· Good I.T skills including MS Word and Excel
The Job offers:
· Working hours Monday-Thursday 08.30-17.00, Friday 08.30-16.30 (37 hours)
· Salary negotiable and dependant on level of experience
