I'm currently working full-time and have just applied for my practising licence through AAT's Member in Practice scheme. I have one client ready and waiting.
I look forward to getting to know you all and taking advantage of all the information and resources already on here.
welcome to the forum and good luck with your future venture,
kindest regards,

I've been away from the forum for a while and I'm just catching up. Spent the last 20 minutes laughing along with some of the posts. How very dare
it be funny in here without me!
As always, there is lots of interesting reading. I think my weekend is sorted now.
Earlier this year Jo picked up a PQ award for best student body for a group for AAT students.
This forum (BKN) is advertised there from time to time for any students, nearly or newly qualifieds that are considering becoming
self employed bookkeepers.
Jo has spent hours and hours helping others and I really do wish her all the help and all the best now her time has come.
(I hope this post is okay as I have no intention of advertising another group, rather, the fact that the other group advertises this place!)
Thanks everyone - it's been 9 days since I submitted my application to AAT to become MIP and I am chomping at the bit to get going!!!! Breathe and be patience young jedi...
Oh and thanks Spamkebab, never a more apt username to suit the person!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Oh Neil - I thought you were talking about me, then I realised you meant the new Jo. Welcome back to the site though! Loving the new avatar!

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.
You should check out answers with reference to the legal position
Sorry Jo - but I have heard Neil gets around a bit!!!
Thanks Phil. I am combining my new venture with going on maternity leave for the first time and hoping not to have to come back to my old job. I mean it's a good job but I don't want the 2.5 hour round commute everyday!! Woe is me... haha
