Ive just received a letter from an Irish company requesting a tax clearance letter. My client is a limited company who has done a lot of work for this Irish company in the past but now they are insisting on having this letter. Given the Irish company and HMRC are closed - just thought I would post on here to see if anyone knows what I need to send with my request to the Corporation Tax department to make sure this is progressed smoothly?
Thanks

Morning John
Im very impressed that you did a lot of googling to help me - thank you for that and the link. Was thinking it might me more involved as things usually are with HMRC but will certainly give this a whirl.
Thanks again
Jo

Interestingly - this request has to go via the Irish Tax authorities. Forms to be completed and they do at least have an email address to send it to. What happens then is anyones guess - they will presumably send it by mail to HMRC who will send it by snail mail back again!
