I do the books for my business and have had no trouble up until now, it's all pretty straitforward.
My question is that my bank tried to transfer money for drawings but there weren't enough funds so it's been paid back in. A couple of days later it went through as normal.
now do I need to enter the amount in my books twice? as it appears on the statement twice or can i just enter it once?
Sorry if it's a dumb question but I do the books parrot fashion and any deveation of the normal and I'm thrown.
No, it was a null transaction. Just put a note on the bank statement linking the two transactions.
Don't worry about the question. Some would add it regardless and whilst it doesn't do any harm its inclusion is meaningless
