HMRC On line adviser
Permalink Closed

 Good morning.

I logged on to the HMRC online services to check some clients pension details this morning and there was a small window saying "Did I wish to speak to an adviser"

It did state Beta however.

Has anyone else seen this or perhaps used it? I just wondered the scope of the advice that we can seek as last week I telephoned the VAT dept for clarification on a technical point. Twice I was cut off by the answering service as they were busy and on the 3rd attempt it took nearly 15 minutes before it was answered. Maybe this will speed up responses?

To be fair the adviser was excellent when I eventually got to speak to him.

Hi Jay
I spotted it a week or so ago but didnt have time to stop and investigate it further despite being tempted to say yes and ask what they would cover. Could be an interesting one that. As long as they arent like most of the Bank/BT ones who cant answer anything! God Im such a cynic!!!!!!!!!!

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position
