Accounting Software with stock control

Hi,

A friend has a client who uses Sage and wants to get more out of it, and is thinking of upgrading to a more expensive version of Sage, which as we know can get very expensive, very quickly.  Can someone else suggest a software package that would do what he wants.  His requirements are:

" i have a client who is a wholesaler of booze to pubs/hotels and resturants and also has a nisa shop. They use sage but we are looking at an efficent bespoke piece of software which they can keep control of stock, invoices and that will tell them the GP on all invoices each day etc - sage is limited on its reporting unless you buy the main package. Can you recommend anything or have come across anything before? Or should they just invest in the bigger sage package"

Thanks for any suggestions.

Nick
