Do any of you hold a bank of HMRC forms that you would use with clients.

Or do you just print them off the website as and when, just thought by ordering a load online would be cheaper as HMRC are paying the print and postage.

I am trying to list what forms I am most likely to require, any suggestions would be welcome, so far I have

64-8

Vat1

Vat2

There are many forms that can no longer be printed and HMRC are working dilligently on sending the rest the same way.

Its seriously annoying as some times you just want to look at a form to see what you are going to need or where there is a choice of forms you may be checking which one you need to be using or even filling out a form for someone else to file.

But of course, now you can't even access them without going through the input screens where you have to start entering client details even though you may not be looking at forms for that client.

My view is that although HMRC were / are going the right way with this they have actually gone a bit too far in there not being a libarary of forms that we can view rather than simply assuming that if we want to look at a form then obviously we must want to file it.

There are online versions of all of the forms that you mention above and I cannot see it being long before the paper versions become obsolete.

kind regards,

I know what you mean, I have spent hours looking at what forms I may need for my clients and there are so many you cannot see what the forms contain unless you fill in the fields.

You would think they would have a section just for the profession where they are all available to view, download or order but then maybe that's too easy.

Everything moving to online overall is a good thing as makes things so much easier, but yet you have to apply in writing for an agent code still.

Hi Eilef

I just look for the forms when I need them.  64-8 and VAT1 (and any other tax)  I do electronically via my online agent account, much less hassle and takes about 7-10 days for client to get code.

I had an email back today from HMRC,

Firstly, I'm surprised they are working today, but not surprising not one of the forms I ordered are available only in download form.
