SAGE payroll study version question
Permalink Closed

Hi guys back in 2013 I bought a Sage 50 Payroll Stages 1 & 2 Self Study Course. As luck would have it, i then found a job and life moved on. I recently found the sage study materials burried under a load of stuff and am wondering if its worth completing it now or is it so out of date its pretty much useless?

Thanks guys

Hi,

I would say tax and Payroll courses always need to be done in the year of purchase. In this case it will be worse as it's pre RTI.

There will still be quite a lot of things that you can benefit from by doing it but the risk is that you will be learning some things that are no longer applicable which may actually confuse and lead astray rather than benefit you.

Thats just my view and I do not have the course so someone else may be able to point you towards parts of the course that are still worth your time and effort.

Sorry that the response is not more positive,

kindest regards,

Shaun..

For anybody who sees this, I am going to buy the latest version and just get it done, my fault for not doing it few years back. Im looking at packages online but no one seems to state that it is the latest version and not all packages are the same colour.

Is there a way to know that I am buying the latest one or do you have any recommendation? Id rather buy from SAGE direct as last resort as they are most expensive.

Thanks
