Conversion of Sage Backup file
Permalink Closed

Hi folks

A client has given me a Sage backup file to work from but it's older than the versions

I have and so won't restore. I don't have any program in between so I can't do a "two-step"

conversion.

Does anyone know of anyone who can convert - I am using Sage 50 v.14 so the backup is

obviously much older than that .

Thanks

Eunice

Hi Eunice

Do you have any idea how old it is? I may be able to help you to bring it up to Sage 50 v.14.

If you're happy to email the back up over to me, I can see what I can do.

Thats 2008 I think, which I have, so can run the back up through each year from there

Oops, just realised you said YOU are using V14 which is 2008. Don't think you will get into that easily! You might need to ask your client for all the reports, out of their system, and start afresh. But happy to try and do something with the back up!

Sage acquired peachtree accounting in 1998, so god knows how old it is! Could be anywhere between that and 2007

OOOooo have fun, Eunice! I am dressing up as a pussy cat for Power Ballads at the Ritz in Manchester! Doors don't open til 10.30 and it goes on til 4am! And if you are just singing along to 80-90s songs you love, that time goes fast!!! I made it to the end last time we went!! Not bad for an old bird!

Let us know how Illegals is, and come back to me if need be, on Sage. I will see if I have 2007 knocking about! :)
