I've just taken over the payroll (temporarily) for a client who is using Sage Instant Payroll (an old version) to process payroll and print payslips then HMRC basic tools to submit RTI.
Turns out Sage and HMRC basic pay tools are not agreeing with each other so I have put in a wrong figure somewhere.
I have HMRC basic pay tools and have a really hard job trying to find anything I need.
Basically I want to check all the details of the last 2 pay periods (it was all working fine and matching up until I came along)
On the basic pay tools how can I find:
The gross, net and deductions for an employee for a period
The breakdown on the amount due to HMRC for the period
ALSO if any one knows there way around Sage Instant Payroll (it's been years since I've used it) how would I find a breakdown of all the amounts due to HMRC for each pay period please?
I use Payroll Manager for my other clients but as this is only a temporary job I have to use their software so when they employee someone else to do it it's all there and not with me.
