I have full AAT, part CIMA and 15 years experience of everything from coding purchase invoices right up to variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll, self assessment returns, pretty much everything in the day to day running of accounts departments.
The reason I am asking is that I don't feel right saying I am an accountant, maybe its lack of confidence but does anyone else think this!!
Cheers
Em

How about a bookkeeper offering accountancy services?
You are an accountant but if you don't feel confident enough yet then the above helps bridge the gap between the two.
HTH,
kind regards,
Shaun.

I am in North East England. In the employment market here, you would be marketable in part qualified assistant accountant roles. These roles would typically offer around £25k to £30k. I would describe myself as a part qualified assistant accountant and I think that this would be appropriate for you.
In small organisations, £2million to £5million turnover, where the accounts department could be just you and an AAT level 2 or 3 finance assistant, you would probably have the title of Finance Manager.
Over the last ten years I have done essentially the same kind of work as you with the following job titles, Senior Finance Clerk, Assistant Management Accountant, Management Accountant and Finance Officer. All of these jobs were at the same grade!
