Doing PAYE online with HMRC

Hi

Has anyone used HMRC site tools to run PAYE?  I know most bookkeepers use sage etc but I have a client with one employee that asked me if it is easy enough to do RTI for one person online via HMRC tools?

Why not use 12pay? You can use it free for a couple of micro businesses with very small payrolls that gets you used to using the software for when you need to buy a licence to offer it as a legitimate add on service to your business.

Just a thought.

Worth mentioning Tony that HMRC basic tools do not provide payslips, P60s nor P45s. 12 Pay does - at least on their paid version.

Sorry Jo have to disagree,HMRC basic tools does provide P45s and P60s but not payslips.

Oops sorry Gordon! To be honest I think its bonkers not to provide payslips, cos at least people can get the others direct from HMRC if they need.
