Opening and Closing Stock valuations (month end postings)
Permalink Closed

Hi All,

I am a trainee accounts assistant, I have been in my current position for a few months learning the day to day running of book keeping.

At the end of December 2015 the accountant of the company (who was training me) left without any notice, and I have been left to deal with the accounts myself.

We recently started managing all our stock within sage, previously I posted monthly (opening/closing) stock journals from the other system we used to use, however since we moved over to Sage 50 (newest version) the accountant dealt with stock and never explained what to do.

When running the P+L I can see no stock adjustment journals have been done since November, and putting the P+L completely out.

I have been asked to sort this issue, but unsure how to get December and January opening/closing stock balances out of sage for me to post the stock journals correctly, I would really appreciate any help on this.

Thanks in Advance

G x
