Quick question - I have 2 payrolls with pay dates of 31st March but moneysoft is showing them as due 25th on the RTI schedule. Have double checked the paydates and they are 31st March. 1 has a weekly payroll to file tomorrow and the other has CIS but no weekly payrolls. Not had this happen before. I know I could fie them tomorrow but I need to confirm 1 with the client so was going to file next week.
Not sure whether this will work but go to Tools > pay dates then click on set monthly pay dates then check if the March pay date is set to 31st March, if it isn't change it.
If that's not it you said you have a weekly payroll, what moneysoft should be showing (top middle) is "current pay period: March 2016 (paid 31st March 2016) and week 51 (paid 25th March 2015) although that wouldn't show up on the one doesn't have a weekly payroll. I dont think CIS has any impact on the dates anyway
I have a client whos 31st of each month and I've just checked it and its fine, so it looks like something on your software.

Thanks for the reply. I had checked through the Tolls menu that the dates were correct. even tried changing and then back to correct date. It does have the "current pay period: March 2016 (paid 31st March 2016) and week 51 (paid 25th March 2015)" showing on both. have just checked my other payroll due for next week on 30th and that is fine, hmm very odd.
Typical that I can't call Moneysoft until tuesday!
Hi Alison
Just a quick one - Moneysoft has two dates, the monthly pay dates that John has mentioned, but also a 'nominal' pay date - you can find it in a box underneath all of the other dates on the same location already mentioned. Worth double checking this date. Take a backup before you try changing it, if it is indeed incorrect. Although I have to say this technically shouldve caught you out before, unless its a relatively recent addition to your moneysoft.

I've just realised I've got the same issue but mine has been further complicated by the fact that weekly employee left some time ago without realising (yes that one Jo) and the monthly paid went on maternity leave at end of November. Just been looking back through and because at the time I was also submitting rti weekly the monthly one has always been submitted on the last Friday of the month, even though the date was the last day of the month. As it was a fixed amount before she left it didn't matter. The problem is that is that you can't submit the weekly one without including the monthly one as far as I can see. Definitely one for Moneysoft I'm afraid. I would wait until Tuesday before submitting any RTI and when you get it sorted with them use reasonable excuse as the reason for late filing.

Thanks both. Sorry to say glad it's not just me then!
Have manged to contact client and he has approved payroll so I can file it today.
Joanne, the nominal pay month always slightly confuses me. It's set to align with tax month in my system. Not sure what the impact of changing it would be. Have tried to find out but not really got anywhere.
Have a good easter
