accountancy to become protected

Ok, given the date....Received an email earlier from another forum I'm a member of - Email informs that from 1st April 2017, HMRC are only allowing those with practice licences from the biggest bodies to submit. Everyone else is excluded. Now as I say, given its April fools day....Has anyone else heard of this?

Cheers Kris.

Many a true word spoken in jest though as it actually all looked very reasonbable to me.

The link in the hoax post is unfortunately a dead one which has now moved to here : www.accountancyage.com/aa/news/1778948/lib-dems-accountant-term-protected.

Yeah, I was kind of glad it was a dead link Shaun, it lead to the authenticity. I didn't think it was too far from what could actually happen if people keep pushing for this.
