I've had things dropped over the back gate/fence - which is about seven foot(?) so lucky the items in question weren't fragile - but worse, I've had one item left in the recycling crate thing.
It was after the rubbish men had already emptied it (obviously) and the delivery man "helpfully" brought it in from the side of the road and put it by the back gate, outside obviously, so that if anyone was walking down the street, although they could see the crate, they wouldn't be able to see there was something in it.
That was a mobile phone. So just something cheap that would clearly not matter if someone *had* spotted it. :/

Amazon delivered a parcel to my neighbour a few doors down the other day and they just promptly dumped it in my (unlocked) porch. Amazon would be wondering why they bothered. But Ive had things put in the big bins before now, with no sign of a delivery note. Plus fragile things dropped from waist height by the postman - I can hear the lass smashing as they land yet he still tries to deny it!
