Does a small retail business need to provide journal receipts from a cash register or is the daily Z report sufficient.  You can get tills that only provide a receipt for customer and will provide a daily x and z report and you can get a till that provides the same plus has a second till roll to provide details of all transactions, what is required by HMRC?

Are you VAT registered now ( or soon will be) and will all products have VAT on them? If so then one that shows full transactional info.
