Petty cash at a satellite office
Permalink Closed

Hi everyone.

My Company has set up a satellite office in another town. All sales /purchases etc are to be dealt with in SAGE accounts at the our main office but as far as petty cash is concerned they will need their own.

I have thought the easiest way to record their petty cash is to set up another petty cash bank account in SAGE exclusively for them, and reconcile it each month.

Has anyone a better suggestion?  Thanks

Nope. As long as it has the other usual controls on the ground. How will they actually get their sticky mits on the cash? Just thought I would throw that one out there.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

Hi Joanne

They will be getting cash from us at main office so it will just be shown as a transfer from our Petty cash account to the new one I have created in Sage.

Thanks for your help

Marina
