Dividend Vouchers post 6th April 2016
Permalink Closed

Hi All,

Reading Johnny's post about dividend admin/posting has got me wondering about the dividend voucher under new dividend tax rules from 6th April?

Current guidance states below must appear:

  • date
  • company name
  • names of the shareholders being paid a dividend
  • amount of the dividend
  • the amount of the dividend tax credit

Now that dividend tax credit is effectively null and void, does this get removed from a new dividend voucher, or just left there regardless?

Oddly Google hasn't come up with any reference anywhere to 2016/17 dividend voucher details and hits on HMRC I have found still show guidance from March 2015 and include the dividend tax credit.

Just wonderiing if anyone read or seen guidance on this?

Ridesy (Jeremy)

Hi Jeremy
(You can add your name to the signature bar, by editing your profile)

My understanding is that vouchers will remain the same but the words tax voucher will be replaced with dividend confirmation.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.
