Ive tried to make this one a bit easier. Careful, one of the answers may seem obvious, but isnt.
Answers will be revealed on Tuesday morning.

This is going to be full of tricks isn't it ya wee miscreant
1. What nationality was the inventor of the world wide web? Extra point if you can name him.
Tim Berners Lee, English.
2.Elementary, my dear Watson, was uttered by which fictional character?
No idea but it wasn't Sherlock Holmes... That one's an old trick question. Hah, caught at least one of your trickeries
3.In what year did Neil Armstrong first land on the moon?
1969
4.Who has had the most number one hits in the UK?
Hot Chocolate... Might no longer be true but that was the answer on a quiz machine years back
5.Chartered Accountant is a protected profession in the UK. True or False?
False. Its a protected title, not a protected profession
6.What was HMRC known as before the merger with HM Customs & Excise?
Inland Revenue... They only joined up because they had to ask to get permission to come through your door where Customs could just turn up on a whim and take your door away if they so wish.
7.Mork and Mindy was a spin off from which sitcom? Clue: Its also an expression that things are going well for you. Extra point if you can name the actress who played Mindy.
Happy days.... I'm tempted to look up the actress but no, I'll be good.
8.Which two banks merged together to form National Westminster Bank
The National Provincial and the Westminster (either Joanne or myself answering that one can be counted as cheating!)
9.Bradley Wiggins is associated with which sport.
??????
10.Which UK football Manager, currently in position, has been at the same club the longest.
Nope, sorry, only manager I can name is Brian Clough and he's dead.

Missed this earlier - and can't be bothered with silly answers this time.
But I'd be right on 1, 2 (that being the trick question), 3, 6, and 7.
Re: 3, the answer's only 1969 if you aren't one of the conspiracy nuts that believe it didn't happen. Here's a video of one such person getting what he deserves from Buzz Aldrin: www.youtube.com/watch

8) lol - yep as per Shaun.
9) cycling
10) as per Johnny, although he still has a long way to go to catch up with Fergie.
Oops just realised I left (4) out - Elvis? Hot chocolate?? Reckon you were robbed by that quiz machine. Oh heck - now I have that tune in my head www.youtube.com/watch

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.
You should check out answers with reference to the legal position
Ahh yes Ive just noticed he didnt even mention the football league, so it could be John himself having been the 'boss' of the local school team since he was 3!!!!!

My favourite HC song, love it.
To put you all out of your misery though, the answer isn't Hot Chocolate. In fact they only had one No. 1 hit, which was "So You Win Again" in 1977. However they had a hit every year from 1970 to 1984, and maybe this was the quiz question Shaun?
The football manager is in the Ripon South league, who have had the same manager for 37 years!! Only joking, and I should have specified, sorry. Let's say the first 4 leagues, although I think you could probably go a heck of a lot lower.
I had a crush on Pam Dawber, she was lovely

Oops, reckon that your right John... Or more to the point, I'm right and you got the wrong question, lol.

1. What nationality was the inventor of the world wide web? Extra point if you can name him.
English, Tim Berners Lee
2.Elementary, my dear Watson, was uttered by which fictional character?
Fiddlesticks, well spotted Shaun and Vince! I only found this wasn't Sherlock a couple of weeks ago, and didn't know it was as well known as you say. The correct answer is Psmith in the book Psmith:Journalist by P G Wodehouse.
3.In what year did Neil Armstrong first land on the moon
1969. I was at school in Preston at the time and became ill and was in hospital. Nurses had set up a black and white TV set in the ward and were really excited about it.
4.Who has had the most number one hits in the UK?
Elvis Presley with 21. The Beatles had 17 and Cliff Richard and Westlife both had 14
5.Chartered Accountant is a protected profession in the UK. True or False?
Ooops, major wording error here, it wasn't meant to be a trick question. I meant that people can't call themselves Chartered Accountants without the necessary qualifications. Points awarded to Shaun and others.
6.What was HMRC known as before the merger with HM Customs & Excise?
Inland Revenue
7.Mork and Mindy was a spin off from which sitcom? Clue: Its also an expression that things are going well for you. Extra point if you can name the actress who played Mindy.
Happy Days, Pam Dawber. I expected this question to be harder to answer. I only found out myself after Robin Williams died, and I used to watch Happy Days!
8.Which two banks merged together to form National Westminster Bank
National and Provincial and Westminster Bank
9.Bradley Wiggins is associated with which sport.
Cycling
10.Which UK football Manager, currently in position, has been at the same club the longest.
Arsene Wenger

Very good! I would suggest I represent you but I CANNOT STAND Paul McCartney nor the Beatles.
Hey John - I got the part about it not being Sherlock.
Good one
Johnny is challenging official JMR guidance, which of course overrules any legal standing. I will need to add something to the gov site as well, to give it extra credence!
You did indeed get the Sherlock question right, I referred to Shaun and Vince because they commentated on the trick question, but I didn't mean to leave you out.
That means you got all 10 questions correct, as well as two of the bonus points
