Just phoned HMRC on behalf of a client and you get the Message (I'm paraphrasing) " nothing has changed as a result of the referendum there is no need to call HMRC"

Really did anyone think HMRC would move that fast?

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

no, I got through after 1min on hold and the chap was very helpful. I asked him about it and he said people had been on the phone at 8 on Friday morning asking what had changed.

They obviously have never dealt with HMRC and don't realise that the behemoth that is HMRC will take years to change not a few hours
