Upgrading Sage from a much older version
Permalink Closed

Hi, I have a client whose computer has gone kaput. She has got a newish computer and has bought a copy of Sage Instant Accounts v.21.

Her previous Sage program was ancient, probably 2008-2009, so I won't be able to restore the date from that backup into the new

program without doing it in steps - it's too big a jump.

Is there anyone who could help me with this ? say, go from the existing to 2012, and then from 2012 to 2015 (v.21) ?

Thanks

Eunice

Hi Eunice
Given this is a new copy she has bought is she still within the 49 days support or whatever she got with it? If so and she moves quickly she can get sage to drag it kicking and screaming into v21 for free, or so I believe. Failing that there was a lady on here who could do such things - Donna. Ive not seen her around for a good while, but Im sure if you do a search and approach her offline she would do it for a good rate.

Thanks, Joanne, I have sent Donna a message. I'm going on holiday in a day or two, I
will give Sage a ring when I get back if Donna isn't able to help.
