Hello,

I have been asked by one of the contractors to provide some kind of statement/certificate, that my company has no tax arrears.

Can I ask HMRC for this kind of statement? Is there any specific form for that?

Hi Rafalp
You seem to have stumbled on a forum that is for bookkeepers and Accountants, rather than for business owners to get advice from. I assume you mean Limited company rather than firm?

Tax clearance certificate is an Irish tax phrase, so you can get one from them for a UK company by applying online. Or something similar for Corporation Tax from HMRC. Suggest you ask your Accountant as the first port of call (quicker probably than you phoning HMRC and probably being given the run around!)
