Hi guys

I haven't studied math for a long time . I am supposed to be tested on basic math skills soon- BKSB. Do you know of any materials in the form of books or online materials that help you to prepair for this test ?

Hi Rafal
Never heard of BKSB. What level of qualification is this? Equivalent to a GCSE? If so, try BBC bitsesize, might give you a start.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

As far as I can remember Level 2 is the equivalent of a grade A* - C, Level 1 being D - G, and finally entry level 3 is anything below the standard of a G grade. I'd say your accountancy / bookkeeping more than covers the syllabus. Bitesize is a great call though.

Hi Rafal
What is it you are looking to achieve? Just to improve your own knowledge and which specific area of maths, or are you looking to persue an actual qualification and if so, which one? Also can I ask why and who is testing you via the BKSB thing? Understanding the motivation, or if it's a job requirement might help to then answer the question more appropriately.

Try this www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/qualifications/ready.html

And whilst I have no knowledge of this, it says you can have 20 free questions, so worth a try uk.ixl.com/promo

Your local library might have some books also.

Hi Rafal,

Try these

www.amazon.co.uk/Official-Practice-Fundamentals-Business-Maths/dp/0750687185/ref=sr_1_1
www.amazon.co.uk/AAT-Business-Maths-English-2004/dp/0751715808/ref=sr_1_3

There are many others but those are pennies on Amazon at the mo.

Also when on Amazon buy these two to prepare you for the AAT skillscheck (you need both of them) :

www.amazon.co.uk/AAT-Foundation-Units-Course-Companion/dp/0751766992/ref=sr_1_4
www.amazon.co.uk/AAT-1-4-Foundation-Revision-Companion/dp/075176714X/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1

If one of them isn't available then just try and find a version where you can get both editions for the same year.

kindest regards,

Shaun.

p.s. you do realise that it's Joanne, not Cheshire don't you? I notice that you keep calling her her userid rather than her name.
