Hi
You need to ask your accountant to apply for this via HMRC.

Thx Cheshire

But I haven't got my own an accountant. I'm doing my bookkeeping by myself. Can you advice how this is called by HMRC? And can I do it online?

Ok you are doing the bookkeeping, but who has put together the final accounts for the last two years? Is this for a limited company?

I never had business in UK. I want to open my own company in Sweden ( sole trader or trading partnership ).

But anyway skatteverket want my tax history from last 2years even if I am private person.

Is P45 enough in my situation? Or any other documents are essential? Do you know how it works?

Thx.

A P45 is not what they are looking for. They want to see the full calculation.

Do you do self assessments?

HMRCs number is 0300 200 3310. Give them a call and tell them what you need and why. Be nice to them and you should get your documents in about two weeks (Longer if they ask you to put your request in writing, if they do make sure you get the address from them to send your request to rather than being fobbed off with "it's on the Website").

With respect, this site is geared towards finance professionals rather than business owners and PAYE individuals looking for general help and guidance with the tax system so if you are unable to get anywhere with HMRC directly you may be better asking your questions on UK business forums which is a forum more geared towards your needs,

kindest regards,

Shaun.

I assumed you had a Limited company in the UK, which is why I made the suggestion I did.

Before you ring HMRC I would speak to the Swedish tax office and ask them to explain exactly what they need - they may also be able to provide an example or a form that requires he signature of someone at HMRC.   Or you may need the help of a Company formation agent or an Accountant in Sweden.   You will need one when you file the year end accounts, so I suggest you talk to one at the outset and get the set up of your business entity correct from the start (especially given you are now saying it could be a sole trader or partnership or a company).

When you do phone HMRC, I totally agree with Shaun that you should not let them fob you off  - if you cannot get an answer with the first person who answers, ask to speak to a supervisor or manager in charge.

Thx for your help Shaun and Cheshire

I will try to call them

I'm in Sweden for 1 month and if you have lived in Sweden less than 2 years you must enclose a certificate from the tax authority in your previous country of residence. This is to certify/prove that you have no tax debts.

Most countries do something similar, so they should be able to tell you EXACTLY what 'certificate' is required. Ive found that most foreign tax agencies seem to know better than HMRC what they need from HMRC!!!
