This is my first post and I just stopped by to introduce myself. I am coming to the end of a 3 year sabbatical, during which time I have been at uni studying as a (very) mature student. Now it's time to step back into the real world and I am planning to set up as a bookkeeper which is what led me here.
i am at the very early planning stages and it's great to be able to join this forum - I already feel less alone.
Looking forward to joining in your chats, although I might just sit back while I watch and learn to start...
Welcome to the forum. So we can answer any questions at your level of expertise, tell us a bit more about you bookkeeping skills. What sort of training you've had, or whether qualified by experience etc.
Any questions you have, fire away.

Hi Lisa
Welcome to the forum. Are you know self employed? Partially or fully?
Just a couple of things that pop into my head .....are you still studying ACCA? If so you can only produce accounts up to TB under reg 8. Sanctions are pretty rough for those who don't follow this reg, even if they are working under another licence such as the IAB.
Can you change your signature name from Lbartup to just Lisa (do it via your profile page), just saves us looking it up every time we answer. Thanks

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.
