Are you are a bookkeeper? Or in some other kind of business?

Just as a point of interest, this poster has posted this exact same question on taxationweb.co.uk, the AAT forum and UK Business forum.

I'm sure there's nothing in it, but just though I would mention it.

Hi David
I thought it was odd as the poster has a female name but listed as a male in their profile. Also posted on the ICB site And Accountants forum.

Just waiting for the spam now.

By his own admittance Davids an other forum reading traitor! Burn the unbeliever.... lol.

Hi David, not heard from you for a while matey. Many thanks for letting me know. I'll keep my eye on this one as could be a bit more premptive spam where posters post a few messages then leave it for a month or so before coming back and slipping SEO / Advertising links into their signatures on the assumption that they will go unnoticed.

The other option is that another new poster (normally the same person) will suddenly appear with the miraculous answer that will solve all of our problems. In this instance I suspect that it will be a new cloud based package that does things that Xero doesn't.

I'm becoming a right old cynic aren't I.

p.s. if a pitchfork and torch wielding mob turn up at your door tell them I was only joking about burning the heretic and to carry on to the establishment of the nearest cloud pusher.

Hi Joanne my fellow cynic.

Quick search and reveals the post has also been made on ContractorUK, Startups.co.uk and Moneysaving Expert. And of course thats just the one's that are Google friendly.

Stuff it, lets protect the site.....

Just banned them so the threads now only here to have fun with as we'll never hear from the poster again.

For info the poster was in Belgrade in Serbia

Good grief. I'm going soft in the head.

It didn't even occur to me that this was potentially related to spam. I simply thought the phrasing of the original question was ambiguous - and I was hoping to hear them clarify whether or not what's "not that good" is their own bookkeeping abilities... or Xero.

Mind you, the answer would be Xero if your second guess is correct. :)

Hi fellow and partially soft in the head cynics
There was another one in the week (gawd, I go away for a few days and you all fall asleep!) and this particular one has already dropped advertising links in, also dropped in the lemmings approach to so called fab software with a throwaway comment, without backing it up in any way whatsoever and then was never heard from again, despite John' s welcome.

Good aftenoon peeps

Oooh I kinda suspected this thread was potential spam, but wasn't 100% sure, because I couldn't make up my mind whether the poster was asking for recommendations on software or wanting a bookkeeper.

But I fell hook line and sinker for the thread you've linked to Joanne,  I thought that was a genuine request.

Still, theres no tool like an old tool!!  (sorry)

lol, Im suspicious of ANYONE who posts a throw away comment, a link to their website and the business name in their sign off panel then doesnt come back on to justify their comment, plus anyone who asks vague as f*** questions like the one above.

In fact Im just suspicious of everyone until they prove themselves, lol.
