Moneysoft issue

Hi all

I know someone who is just about to start using Moneysoft and has entered all their info and was "playing about" entering data to experiment etc to see how things worked and on one payslip entered something in basic and something in additions

Sounds really daft but apparently they cant remove the information from the additions column !!!!?????!!!!!!!  hitting delete button doesnt work appparently, not does typing in 0

Has anyone heard of this - i use Moneysoft but dont have to use the additions section so have not come across this

Can they delete it (if so how pretty please) or are they going to have to reenter the employee again from new???

Thanking you in advance!!!!!

Hi Gail, only thing I can think of is if the period is locked.  Is there a padlock against that week? If so highlight the week and click on padlock at top of screen.

If not, it should just be a case of double clicking the amount in the additions box and removing it, just tried that myself and it works.

Better to play about in the test data file or a dummy one rather than a live one.

Thanks both for your replies

Yes Joanne i did politely point out he shouldnt be using live file for "playing about" with

I totally forgot John that i can set up a file to play about with myself - have never needed to before - so i did and like you i can delete the info using both keyboard functions and also the mouse

I dont think its a padlock issue as he said he could delete the info he had put in for basic - i have a feeling its operator error

Anyway i have sent him the dummys guide to deleting it step by step saying excately what to press and click !!!!!

I have a feeling i am going to get offered this job - i cant take it as its weekly and i dont have the capacity to do another weekly payroll of this size (approx 20 staff)

I dont know how to set up PM on here - but if you could tell me how - if either of you would be interested in taking this if i get offered it - i wont refuse it i will take and pass onto you if you want to PM me (once i have it set up!)

Thanks again for your help - much appreciated

Hi Gail
Go to your profile (click on your name), go to settings and you can accept emails (about half way down the options).

Hi Gail
Just sent you a PM - just merely as a test. You may need to look in your spam box.
You can find John's via clicking on his profile name.

Over to you John!

Happy New Year both of you.
