Just thought I'd pop a post in here as haven't been on for a while!

I have now got 4 clients! Yippee!!! Getting there slowly! Haven also had an offer accepted on a house 'Up North' so will be be able to set up my business good and proper when I move, as I have room in my new home to have a separate office. Can't wait!!! Thank you for all the help and advise you have given me a long the way smile

Don't use one room JUST for the business or you will fall foul of CGt regs when you move again. Plus may need to pay business rates. See a thread on here from a few days ago, will still be on page one if you look.

Whereabouts in the north?

30 miles away from me Joanne!

Congratulations on getting those new clients Caroline, are they based where you live now or up here in Yorkshire?

I'm also reminded I owe you a form, and I'll get that sorted in next few days, it's been rather a hectic couple of months with tax returns.

Yes John! I have one remote, 2 where I am now and 1 in Yorkshire (hopefully 2 now!)

Thanks Cheshire - better check out the other thread!!! Had planned to have one room for my office so I could have clients there if need be and also I can secure the room. And the paperwork isn't all over my lounge like it is at the moment!! lol!!

It's Joanne rather than Cheshire. Sounds like a plan but just use it for something as well that is obvious to any visiting tax inspector, eg a music room for the children or whatever.

Just make sure it also not one of those garden shed types.

I think you get veteran member after 30 posts/been around a while. Can't remember, there is a post about that if you try a search. They did change them, mine went from expert (which I thought was a joke) to master bookkeeper. I tried complaining saying I wanted to be mistresses bookkeeper.

John-30 miles should be far enough, otherwise you may have to expand the kill zone
