Hi Johnny 

I read about this on aweb today.  It's not a big deal imo. I always thought you had to wait for a letter anyway, until one day the person at HMRC told me I could have the info over the phone. Since then i have "abused the system" as a lazy way to get clients details when they're unsure of what their employment record, or, as I did today, check that a subby hadn't claimed any benefits or did an employment stint as their was a gap in CIS payments.

It does sound though that it's been heavily abused by firms making bulk employment claims

Roll on later this year, when that part of the tax return will be pre-populated.

Any chance you could change the title?  Its something agents should be aware of, and I think more peeps will click on the thread if the title relates to what the letter is about
