Uniform Tax part employed & self employed

Hope for advice, though I'll phone tax office if not.

Client is part time employed; below tax threshhold; wears a uniform.

Part time self employed

both incomes together mean a tax payment is due.

Can I claim uniform tax relief?

Uniform is for employed work? Does it follow the HMRC rules covering inform? Has the tax code not already been altered for it?

I don't think so for third

it was 1100L for 2016/2017

What is the uniform? What is the trade? P87?

Thanks Johnny, it is a proper uniform with a logo, under the general workers £60 tax relief (£12)

my question is more to do with the fact that no tax is paid or due on the employed work, but it is paid after the self employed profit is added.

Can a claim for uniform cleaning be added?

I doubt it. It's up to the employer or individual to carry this burden. What about the benefits system? Have you checked this avenue? You'll receive an offset from HMRC if there is something to offset against. (I assumed there was other taxable income)
