Hi a client (café owner) has been invited to an awards ceremony with the possibility of winning an award for their food. They have asked that if they buy an extra ticket for a staff member to attend who has helped them achieve the nomination whether they would be able to claim the cost of the ticket as a business expense? The have one complimentary ticket.
As all staff in the company are invited then put it down to annual staff entertaining but remember the £150 per year per staff member limit so using that now leaves only £75 for Christmas (assuming that there are no other costs besides the ticket involved with this one).
Good luck to your client with their nomination.
kindest regards,
Shaun.

No probs, Joanne's answer would have been the same (saw what she was doing with the how many people in the company question). Just she's at a clients at the moment where I'm in the office (for once) trying to outstare my screen. Sure that I'll no doubt set her up for the next one.
Happy Friday,
Shaun.
